Hello, my name is Jayant Gandhi.
I was born on October 25th, 1982 at 7:05 am in New Delhi, India. I first went to a playschool, Tiny Tots School or something like that for a year. After that it was time to go to a proper school and I got admitted to S.M. Arya Public School, Punjabi Bagh. I stayed there for a year. I hardly remember anything from this school. After it I got admitted to Bal Bharati Public School, Pitampura. It used to be in Harsh Vihar at that time. A couple years later the school moved to its present location, Parwana Road with a much bigger building. I spent a good 13 years there (Mont II to Grade 12th).
After school, it was time for some professional education and I decided to do BIT from University of Delhi. I spent a good four years over there out of which the last 6 months were in Canon India as a project trainee.
From the job offers I got, I decided to join Symphony Services, Bangalore and off I went. This was the first time I left my hometown. This was exactly the reason I chose this offer, to get away from home and to learn to be independent. All other offers were of New Delhi or nearby cities.
After a year at Symphony, I decided to study further. I got admission in IIT Delhi for M.Tech. in Computer Technology. During this time I co-founded Khojguru, a local search engine. You can find all the merchants, markets, vendors, services available in Gurgaon, at Khojguru Gurgaon.
After finishing with my Masters, I decided to pursue job at AOL’s Research Labs as an Engineer. I worked there for little over a year. I really enjoyed the work there but an opportunity with Microsoft at its headquarters for Windows Mobile brought me to Redmond, WA, USA.
During these years, I made many friends, met many interesting people, learnt many things, spun websites and webservices and a lot of cool things. You can see my recent press mentions here.
